When I first imagined the launch of my debut book, I pictured a cozy evening with a few friends, some quiet conversation, and perhaps a small stack of signed copies. What happened instead was beyond anything I could’ve imagined.
The launch event for Dark Tales of Wonder, held at Liberty Books’ flagship store in Clifton, Karachi, Pakistan was a house full. Family, friends, fellow writers, and readers (both familiar and new) filled the space with warmth and excitement. By the end of the night, every available copy in the store was sold out.
The event featured a lively book talk hosted by Ali Samejo, a fellow author and fast-becoming writer friend, whose engaging questions made for a thoughtful and fun discussion about dark fantasy, horror, and the folklore that inspires my stories.
For me, this book is more than just a debut – it’s a dream realized. Dark Tales of Wonder brings together stories rooted in the folklore and uncanny stories of South Asia, especially Pakistan. Through these tales, I hope to share with the world the strange, haunting, and beautiful storytelling culture that has shaped me as a writer.
To everyone who attended, sent good wishes, or picked up a copy, thank you. Your love and support made this milestone unforgettable.
Dark Tales of Wonder is published by Liberty Publishing in Pakistan and available worldwide on Amazon in paperback and Kindle formats. I hope you’ll continue to read, share, and enjoy these stories because while I write for myself, I truly write for the storytellers and dreamers who find wonder in the dark.
Here’s to many more nights of stories, wonder, and magic.
